Description

Alumina is a high-performance adsorbent widely used for the deep drying of industrial gases and liquids. After special processing, activated alumina has a huge specific surface area and a rich microporous structure, giving it extremely strong water absorption capacity. Activated alumina desiccant is non-toxic, odourless, non-pulverising and insoluble in water — white spherical particles with strong water adsorption.

Applications

Industrial gas drying — compressed air drying (prevents rust and freezing of pneumatic equipment); purification of oxygen, hydrogen, CO2, natural gas and cracked gas; instrument air systems for absolute dryness
Liquid drying and purification — transformer oil and lubricating oil (removes trace moisture); organic solvents such as ethanol and benzene; hydrogen peroxide production (major application as an adsorbent in the working solution)
Other — fluoride removal from drinking water; catalyst carrier for petrochemical applications
